What Impacts Did The 2005 Aichi Expo Help Nagoya, And Help Japan Play A Leading Role Globally Essays What Impacts Did The 2005 Aichi Expo Help Nagoya, And Help Japan Play A Leading Role Globally Essay What Impacts Did The 2005 Aichi Expo Help Nagoya, And Help Japan Play A Leading Role Globally Essay History was in the making on this historical date March 25, 2005 for Japan and the city Nagoya until the pen stops writing on September 25, 2005. This was the new beginning for Japan and its fourth-biggest city Nagoya, which sits between the other two major cities in Japan, Tokyo and Osaka. 1 The main focus here is that, is the history going to be full of negativity or full of positives by the end of September of 2005. The new beginning and start for Nagoya is suppose to put itself on the map and for the rest of the world to know what a fantastic city it is to live in. Did the new beginning come with a price tag or was it a green light from the start? What were the conflicts and the controversial problems before the 2005 Aichi Expo began? What were the results and the impacts of the Aichi Expo and did it help Japan play a leading role globally? The 2005 Aichi expo had many obstacles to over come before the event can take place in Nagoya on March 25, 2006. There where many critics, environmentalist, and residential problems and issue that needed to be resolved and thought out before major construction of the area get started underway. The 2005 Aichi committee needed to deal with the on-going debate with resident and environmentalist and trying to convince them that by hosting the Aichi Expo event on March 25, 2005. The event would bring good things to the city such as an increase in income, technology and state of the art architecture around the city. 2 Rather than brining in any negative aspects and hazards to the resident that could harm them or the environment. For that reason, the beneficiary of this major event would be the people of Nagoya. Despite with all the positive features and outcome there were still unpleased people. Critics and environmentalists preferred to have a much cleaner environment to be in, rather to have more pollution in the area. By hosting the Aichi Expo it brings a lot of concerns to the people and negative environmental issues that need to be resolved. Environmentalist are concerns with the lost of habitat, an increase of pollution and the lost of traditional way of living in the area. Everything is dramatically going to change into a modernization way of living in Japan where robots and machines do the physical and manual labor where it is required, while the citizen sit back and relax. 4 One of the environmentalist concerns is the lost of the Isahaya Wetlands and with the proximity of the Fujimae Wetlands close in the area it would cause a stoppage of migratory birds. The area records an astonishing number of 12,000 birds a day for a stopover in the spring. The birds are at risk of losing one of their most important feeding and resting place, where they migrate from Siberia have a stopover and go to Australia. Another major negative environment concerns is that Nagoya one of the biggest city and with a big city it comes with a waste disposable problem and the cost of staging the exhibition 2005. Thus, leads to a large amount of pollution and waste being emitted and dumped into the air and streams killing habitants in the area. On top of that the governor Reiji Suzuki is encouraging a progression of inefficient, environmentally destructive public work projects, that is supposedly to prime the local economy. 6 With all the projects that are projected to finish for the 2005 Aichi Expo it would cost an estimated Y350bn (Dollars 3. bn). 7 One significant lost to the Nagoya area is the Setos Kaisho Forest, enclosed in the area lies some of the most biologically rich regions and home to numerous endangered species, such as insects, birds and plants. The vicinity in the surrounding area would be destroyed to make room for the Expos pavilion. A major highway that would disturb the species in the area and disrupt the watershed and pollute the mountain streams because of the highway is being built and cut through the middle of the forest. As a result, local traffic and tourist going to the event causes air pollution which kills the forest and prohibit species to live in the area. 8 Despite all the negativities that come with hosting the 2005 Aichi Expo, it also comes with quality features and positive outcome for Nagoya and Japan. It generates and increases the amount of revenue, the amount of tourist and that is estimated to reach about 15 million people but that number can exceed that threshold and for that reason it will expose Nagoya to the world. By exposing Nagoya, it helps the city and Japan in the economic aspect. For many years now Nagoya has been in the shadow of Osaka due the proximity of the two cities and Osaka is the one getting the lucrative investments by investor because Osaka is considered to be the entrepreneurial and industrial of Japan. 10 But that is all going to change because Nagoya is putting out a strong effort and a significant change to the fourth largest city in Japan. The exhibitions chief producer Shohei Fukui grantees the change and that Osaka will not only be the city that has a global focal point. For that being said and done, Nagoya has built many infrastructure, and an advance technology on transportation and facility on how to sustain a cleanse environment. 11 The expo majors theme is called Natures Wisdom. With the theme name Nature Wisdom, that is exactly what the exhibition committee plan on carrying out. With the new technology advancement they would have to destroy parts of nature to accomplish this goal. But as well, the committee has to acknowledge the concerns about environmental issue, technological and cultural concerns about local and global development. The advancement technology that Japan has in store for the future way of living is unbelievable. The advancement technology includes transportation, top notch facility to make the environment a cleaner place and for future plans on how to live a sufficient life without much pollution. 13 The new transportation system install would be a big improvement for the residents to travel from place to another. Some new installment includes the Multimode Transportation System (IMTS) vehicle, the fuel cell hybrid bus (FCHV), and the Linimo. With the Multimode Transportation System (IMTS), it is an independent operation system like a normal bus, high speed, the capacity of passenger is 50 and its convenience of not having to transfer multiple vehicles. Has a glass structure cabin giving it a panoramic field of vision and is field with clean compresses natural gas. The fuel cell hybrid bus (FCHV) runs on motors powered high-pressure hydrogen supplied fuel cells and a nickel metal hydride secondary battery. The beauty of this hybrid bus is that its highly energy efficient and it doesnt emit carbon dioxide which is unsafe for the ozone layer not like gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles. The hybrid bus has a high running efficiency rate by recovering energy during deceleration and it also can adjust to the running conditions. The bonus to this fuel cell hybrid bus is that it runs smoothly and very quiet so it would not disturb the resident from unwanted noises. For the Linimo vehicle its based on railway and shuttle buses that have the conveniences of that transport visitors from the parking areas to the exhibition sites.

Each and every one of them contributed to my intellectual development and gave me the tools I needed throughout the research and the writing of my dissertation. I know that if it were not for them, I would not have been able to research and write this study. In my opinion, however, few deserve the acknowledgement due to my supervisor, David Bromilow. He, more than any, knows how confused I was by the sheer size of this project and how, more often than not, I lost direction and, sometimes, confidence. His continued patience and invaluable guidance are what kept me on track. The support which David Bromilow gives all his students and, his constructive criticisms and advice, are responsible for my having finished this dissertation and my presenting of it. I am extremely grateful to him. Last but not least, I want to reserve a special acknowledgement to my parents in Hong Kong and both my aunt and uncle. Their continued and unfailing emotional and financial support have brought me where I am today and have, indeed, opened up a world of possibilities before me. Therefore, it is to them that I dedicate my dissertation. Abstract Chapter 1: Introduction 1.1 Introduction Over the last decade the user-friendly Internet has been developed such that E-commerce is now widely used as a main competing business mechanism. In fact the growth of E-commerce has... The paper tells that E-commerce has become more significant in recent years, though it has been developed in various forms for past 20 years. For example, ââ¬ËElectronic Data Interchangeââ¬â¢ (EDI) provides a collection of standard message formats and an element dictionary for business to exchange data through an electronic messaging serviceââ¬â¢. Another example is ââ¬ËElectronic Funds Transferââ¬â¢ (EFT) first introduced in the late 1970s, which transfers money between financial repositories such as banks or bank accountsââ¬â¢. The growth and acceptance of credit cards, Automated Teller Machines and telephone banking can also be regarded as alternative forms of E-commerce. Although many- of these electronic trading technologies have brought progressive effects to their own markets and increased recognition on these systems to their customers, it is very obvious that E-commerce has certainly purveyed its excellence and has brought huge impact on the economic transf ormation only in recent years. In simple terms, ââ¬ËE-Commerceââ¬â¢ or Electronic Commerce is defined as ââ¬Ëthe process of buying, selling or exchanging products, services and information via computer networks including the Internetââ¬â¢. It is also alternatively defined; ââ¬ËThe entire set of processes that support commercial activities on a network and involve information analysisââ¬â¢. Recently, however, we have seen explosive development in E-commerce mainly thanks to the development of the Internet and the World Wide Web, which facilitate e-commerce much more accessible. E-commerce can be simply categorised into two major activities; ââ¬ËBusiness-to-Business (B2B)ââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËBusiness-to-Consumer (B2C)ââ¬â¢ activities.

While EU countries like France should its most preferred destination for expansion, ASOS also has to take a long term strategic stand and expand to other matured markets like North America, The Oceania or emerging markets like Russia, Brazil, India and China. France represents a great opportunity, but also poses a tough challenge for ASOS. With a very stable political and economical environment and a high degree of internet penetration, France is one of the obvious destinations for expansion for ASOS. However, it might be difficult for ASOS to replicate the kind of growth rates it has achieved in UK in France too. ASOS is a vibrant online fashion and beauty store for men, women and children. The Tea Party Movement
The Tea Party Movement Demetrius Zissimos Following the 2008 economic crisis, a wave of anger flushed throughout the U.S. creating to separate groups, both upset and both clamoring for a change. The Tea Party Movement, a movement founded by a large majority of elder conservatives, a conservative middleclass and large amount of upper class Americans disgruntled with government power and taxes, and the Occupy Wall Street movement, founded by a majority of a younger liberal crowd upset at the power of corporations and their control over the government, were born. Both ideologies gained a large following as they gathered in cities all over the U.S. and in the case of OPW (Occupy Wall Street) all over the world. Both demanded change, using social media and modern technology to their advantage. Yet although there may be a few similarities within their frustrations with the government, they are separated by vast differences found in their ideologies, methods, membership, approval rating, and overall impact within the political syst em. The Tea Party at its core claims to protest foremost the size and power of the government. It states that the government is too large and its taxing of the people has become out of control. These taxes, as a lot of the members within the Tea Party would argue, are only used to fund government programs that are really handouts given to those who are merely taking advantage of the system. Yet at the same time, a large amount of the Tea Partyââ¬â¢s population are elderly, and thus rely heavily on government programs like social security and Medicare. Itââ¬â¢s hard to understand how a group can argue against the government social programs, while taking advantage of such programs themselves. Their justification for what most would call a double standard also gives light into more topics that fit into the Tea Partyââ¬â¢s platform. They explain that they earned the usage of such social programs after working in the U.S. and paying taxes for so long. Their issue with the other socia l programs is that the government is helping people who do not benefit society, making illegal immigrants a large majority of the ââ¬Å"peopleâ⬠mentioned. This hostility towards illegal immigration amplifies a distrust against the Obama administration, who they claim to be way too lax on the issue. At this point, the hostility against immigrants attracts a certain kind of intense and overzealous crowd to the movement, one easily described as opinionated and very racist. The far right conservatives joined the movement, those who focused on certain ideas that are extreme to say the least. Such examples are the claims made by the Tea Party that Obama is a terrorist, was not born in the U.S., and is actually Muslim despite his public talks of being a Christian. This blind hatred is unfortunately a common theme, spurred on as government leaders like Sarah Palin speak as leaders for the movement. Including their blind allegations against President Obama, Tea Party politicians have a history of extreme and controversial thoughts that have given the movement a reputation of racist and extremist conservatives and served equally as a publicity stunt used to gain as much attention as possible. Especially concerning womenââ¬â¢s rights and rape, Tea Party politicians have been quoted making outrageous statements that cost them seats in government positions. The Tea Party has history of relying on extreme and insensitive statements to gain attention and gain a following of hardcore conservatives who blindly follow anyone that hits a particular point they feel to be underrepresented. Evidence is found in their ââ¬Å"15 Non-negotiable Core Beliefsâ⬠, which involve ââ¬Å"English is our core language,â⬠ââ¬Å"Illegal aliens are here illegally,â⬠and ââ¬Å"Traditional family values are encouraged.â⬠(2) These traditional family values normally involve stripping women of the right to control their own bodies, even under extreme conditions, and are a large attraction by the extremist, normally sexist conservative. These few examples of core beliefs show a movement that is so focused on gathering followers that it loses track of what the movement actually started as, toning down government spending, taxes and power. This creates a stark difference compared to Occupy who manages to keep a relatively focused mission of a few core beliefs, instead of casting a broad net to get any followers they can. Such extremism is a huge difference between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street because although Occupy took extreme measures of showing anger, they first off never created a political party, and second of all are not quoted having such extreme view points as those in the Tea Party. Occupy consists of a membership made up mainly of a younger crowd than that of the Tea Party, with three general stereotypes used to define its membership, middle class liberal Americans, hipsters, and unemployed college graduates. These three groups find a common ground speaking out against the relatively light taxing of the rich compared to the middle class, the governmentââ¬â¢s inability to investigate and punish corporations and their executives that caused the 2008 collapse and speak for a reform of the system of financing in which politicians rely on large corporations in order to gain political power. Although Occupy is upset with the federal government like the Tea Party, their main enemies are large faceless corporations. These corporations are not being held responsible for their reckless actions that affect the ââ¬Å"99 percent.â⬠The movement claims to speak against the one percent of the population that holds a huge majority of the nationââ¬â¢s wealth, and rules unfairly over the rest of the country, coining the term the ââ¬Å"99 percentâ⬠or the majority of the people. This idea of the majority would likely align the movement with ideals of Millââ¬â¢s liberalism, although they also share similarities with Marxism in their conflict of the one percent, who could be seen as the bourgeoisie, and the 99 percent or the proletariatsââ¬â¢, and the small revolution they committed by publicly organizing and disrupting Wall Street. But ideologically, Liberalism is the best fit for Occupy as both speak for the rule by the majority the 99 percent. Also both see that the government has a role of protecting the majority, something that Occupy argues the government did not do. The Tea Party can also find similarities with Millââ¬â¢s Liberalism, in that both have government holding very little power. Although the Tea Party is not really considered with the wide majority, they do argue for certain ââ¬Å"libertiesâ⬠like gun control. Marxism however is a hard fit for the Tea Party, as both have very little in common. In regards to Fascism, both Occupy and the Tea Party are on opposite ends of the spectrum, as neither want a complete control by the government, and Fascism is strictly against the rule of the majority. Although Occupy Wall Street had an altogether more effective protest force than the Tea Party (Estimates put the largest protest for Occupy Wall Street at over 1.4 million people in 950 cities in 84 countries, and the largest Tea Party protest at 311,460 people in 346 cities.(1)), Occupy didnââ¬â¢t create its own political party like the Tea Party did. This hurt the movement, in that it became mostly focused as a movement and ideology, without much of a political impact. Even though the Democratic Party has shown small influences from Occupy in their speeches, very little can actually be proven to be done by the movement politically, while the Tea Party has had a more impactful political career. The Tea Party is credited to bringing more attention and energy back to the Republican Party after the 2008 presidential elections. Although the Tea Party didnââ¬â¢t gain any real traction in the government, it can be argued that the Republican party has adopted a few of the issues firs t argued by the movement, although those issues are very watered down, and try to avoid the extremist views of the Tea Party movement. But Occupy still holds a better public opinion, as 54 % of people have shown agreement with Occupy, while 20% of the population has shown agreement with the much more extreme Tea Party(1), a fact that can be explained through the extreme statements that the Tea Party used as a claim to fame. Yet to its benefit, Occupy Wall Street has a message that has reached not only a large population in the U.S. but also in other countries. It can be argued as well that Occupy never meant to gain a true political following, as they kept a relatively vague mission statement, and never had true leadership taking the reins. The 2008 economic collapse was an event that spurred an angry population into action, action that eventually involved millions of people, all of whom were unified by a common cause. Whether they were following the radical views of the Tea Party, or aiming for a more protected majority like Occupy, both movements have had everlasting effects, not only on the political spectrum but also within the people. Both movements while separate in following, ideology and overall methods both share the common ground of being vehicles to show displeasure against a government that has become distanced from those it is mean to protect. This cause at its core is admirable and American to its foundation as we are a country born of civil disobedience and protest against a government that takes advantage of its people. Film Pre-Production Essay Essay
When planning a film production a lot of things need consideration, for example money is an important element that will be needed to fund the production of the film, with the crew/cast needing payment for their work. Props need buying and depending on the dialogue of the movie they may be quite expensive along with the equipment needed to record and edit the movie and the setting of where you are going to film whether it be public or private property. And also such things as accommodation, food and travel costs will need to be paid for, so dividing up the money for a production of a film plays a large role in pre-production along with where the source of the money is coming from, and if the source of the money allocates a budget you will need to get all of these resources within the range of the budget. Before production of the film you need to consider the genre, and what audience the genre of the film will apply to, for example horror movies are generally watched by a younger audience so you may want the storyline to be relatable to them with the cast being younger adults and them living lives younger people might live themselves (studying, partyââ¬â¢s etc.). Also the setting should be considered to apply to the genre for example if the genre is sci-fi you may want the setting at some point to be on a space ship, or be futuristic. The time allocated plays a big role in preproduction, with things like editing after all the filming has taken place needing consideration, so the filming canââ¬â¢t take place right up to the deadline. Also things like time to shoot scenes needs to be planned, along with the availability of the cast throughout the project. Legal requirements are also a part of pre-production with music having to be used that isnââ¬â¢t copyrighted along with all health and safety laws remaining intact, or whoever is put in danger could sue the production company a large sum of money postponing or stopping the production of the film. Location permissions are also needed to be granted or again the owner of the location may sue if film there is released, and any other rules set by regulatory bodies within the production of a film should also be followed. Material also plays an important role in the planning of a film, with research on the film being needed making sure the story hasnââ¬â¢t been done before and if it has, how you can make your production stand out more individually. Also there will be certain generics of the genre you will want your film to follow so it can be distinguished as that genre which is being aimed at. Music thatââ¬â¢s not copyright will need to be found or produced, most likely produced if you want the film to have its own theme song like with many big blockbusters.

Dubai Police Department was established on 1st June 1956. There are more than fifteen thousand employees working under the Dubai Police Force across Dubai City. The General Department of Administrative Affairs is one of the most appreciated and admired security establishments under the Dubai Police Department. The GDAA is a link between the Dubai Police Headquarters, General Departments, and Police Stations on one hand, and the Federal Ministers; Government Departments and the private sectors on the other hand. The Department offers legal consultations; preparation of statistical and cognitive studies, data collection and analysis, preparation of annual reports, and managing medical and travel services record of Dubai Police Force Employees. One day Mr. Kabir came to work and became furious when he was rebuked by his senior Mr. Abdul for the reason that the receptionist, Miss Ann who is responsible for the centralized communication in the department has miss communicated some information to Mr. Kabir. Mr. Abdul is the General of the GDAA (The General Department of Administrative Affairs) organization under the Dubai Police Department. Mr. Kabir is a 32 year old Deputy in The General Department of Administrative Affairs. He is responsible for supervising and managing all the activities in the department. Kabir tries his best to keep up with the administrative issues in the police department. The present communication system prevailing in the Department is the verbal communication system which takes over the phone. The message is conveyed from the receptionist to the receiver by telephone. If the receiver is not available to attend the calls, the receptionist is responsible for making a note of the information and surpassing the information to the concerned receiver of the calls. Kabir got frustrated and got notion to put in the modern digital system for effective communication across the department. He acquired all the officersââ¬â¢ acceptance for the program. The system was responsible for facilitating the services like electronic transfer of calls, calls recovery, messages recovery, auto answering options etc. Miss Ann was trained and made responsible to supervise and manage the efficient functioning of the digital communication system in the department. In the month ââ¬â end meeting of the officers of the department, Ann declared that the efficiency of the department had increased due to the increase in accessibility of the information hub which was made possible with the help of the technological integration in the department. The personnel no longer felt the need to depend on the receptionist to access the information required. Moreover the communication between people also improved and the updates could be gathered faster. (Call Express Case Study) Introduction The public administration of any country or region is responsible for the effectiveness in the overall functioning of the governmental departments and agencies. Department of Police (About US) is designated so as to practice the laws and by making legitimized use of force. The Police Services are defined in a legal area of responsibility. The Dubai Police Department is a ell established and admired body within the public administration of the country and is chaired by the ruler ââ¬â Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. Bearing this in mind, one of the key public administration departments pertains to the maintenance of law and order and ensuring implementation of the law in the region. The General Department of Administrative Affairs (Organi zational Chart) is a department under the Department of Police is responsible for the connection with the Police Headquarters and other Police High Authority Departments encompasses Federal Ministers, Government Departments, and other private sector bodies. The department carries different operational activities such as legal consultations, preparation of statistical studies, data collection and analysis, preparation of reports and other management and administrative tasks. The case pertains to The General Department of the Administrative Affairs of the Dubai Police Department and highlights the problems in the communication channels which existed in the department. The key issue was with the retrieval and access to the messages which had to be accessed through a receptionist. This study will aim at analyzing the issue and the outcome of this issue on the department. The case is focused on the existence of improper channels in the Department which was affecting the effectiveness of the departmentââ¬â¢s administration. Communication assumes utmost importance in this regard as live updates and information need to be conveyed to the various personnel involved in the departmentââ¬â¢s activities. Summary: The rationale of the case study is to exemplify the communication system in The General Department of Administrative Affairs of the Dubai Police Department. The case throws light up on the troubles faced by the officers owing to the old and traditional verbal communication system prevailing in the department. The information and messages flow is inappropriate disturbing the operational and administrative flow in the department. The verbal communication system is centralized, one receptionist looking after all the calls and messages flows to the respective receivers in the department. This made the Deputy to think for changing and implementing the new and contemporary digital system in the department. The installation of this digital system ensures the effective and efficient communication by conquering the problems and challenges arising with the Department of Police, Dubai. The new program of communication system resulted in the operational effectiveness along with the improvement in the operational efficiency. Besides, there were many other drawbacks that came into picture by the communication officer Ann, who was the former receptionist in the police department during the review of the communication system, was done by the office associates under the supervision of Mr. Abdul, the General of the department. In the next part of the case study analysis of the Dubai Police Department, the key points will be highlighted together with the examination of its consequences and the action steps taken by the company to conquer the problems. Key Issues Highlighted: This case is focused upon the key issues related to the communication channel existing in the department with respect to the retrieval of information available with the receptionist and dependency on the receptionist for accessing the information that is present with her. The issues pertain to the information which is collected by the receptionist. This information is provided by the people and could either be a complaint or a call for help or intimation about any emergency situations. It could also include personal calls or messages for the people in the department. This information could be accessed only when the receptionist was present and the conveyance of the information over the telephone line meant that the line was kept busy and this was responsible for the callers to deter from providing information which could prove useful for the department. Moreover the personnel often wanted to access the information after their duty hours were over, but this was not made possible as the absence of the receptionist meant that data could not be retrieved until such time till the receptionist returned. These issues pertaining to communication within the department are highlighted in this case study ââ¬â * Communication channel which existed in the department. * Various flaws associated in the existing communication channel. * Effect of the inefficient communication channel on the administration of the department. Identifying the reasons for the problems which are evident in the communication channel. Key Issues Analysis: 1. Communication Channel ââ¬â The Communication Channel prevailing in The General Department of Administrative Affairs of the Department of Police is the combination of ââ¬Å"verbalâ⬠and ââ¬Å"non verbalâ⬠communication system. The communication system is the system which includes the interaction bet ween the people. The communication is established between the sender and the receiver by making use of the sound and language to convey the message to the receiver. The communication is used to express the ideas, desires, concepts and requirements. The verbal communication is therefore significant for the exchange of expressions and gestures between two or more persons. The verbal communication system is an old and traditional system for communication in public administrative organization where one single receptionist is responsible for the transferring of calls and messages along with the retrieval of information. The system is not spirited enough to cope up with the demands of the modern scenario of the public administrations, especially the Police Department where the number of workforce is increasing day by day, thus resulting in the increase of the administration activities. Today, the communication systems widespread in the administrations are faster and easier and are modern and technical systems mostly referred as the non verbal communication system. (Hanes, 2010) 2. Failure of the Communication System ââ¬â There are various flaws associated with the current communication system or channel prevailing in the department resulting in the failure of the system and giving birth to number of problems in the department when the messages and calls are transferred from the receptionist to the concerned officer in the department. They are ââ¬â * Misunderstandings. Different Perceptions of the People * Ineffective Communication Techniques * Language Barriers * Subjective Opinions of the Persons (Hanes, Problems in Communication , 2010) 3. Effect of the Communication System ââ¬â The communication system prevailing in The General Department of Administrative Affairs fails to clinch the success as the system or the channel is centralized and outmoded. T he communication system moves around one single receptionist who is responsible to transfer the calls and messages to the officers in their respective departments. She was also made responsible to retrieve the messages in the absence of any receiver. This is an old and slow process of communication giving room for number of mistakes. This resulted in the miscommunication of the data and information and therefore resulting in the misappropriation of tasks and responsibilities. At times, this fallout in the scolding and admonishments to the officers from the Deputy General of the department. 4. Reasons for the flaws in Communication Channel ââ¬â There can be many reasons that affect the communication system in the organization. With reference to the case study of the public administrationââ¬â¢s Dubai Police Department, there is a centralized communication system. Indeed, the Case Study aimed to identify the significance of the proper and friendly communication channels entails in any of the public administration. Recommendations: With reference to the case study, I would like to give my personal recommendations for the improvement of the communication channels and programs in the organization. Several Steps can be taken by the Public Administration Authorities to improve the communication systems in the department. The Recommendations pertaining to the Department of Police are as follows ââ¬â * An Organized System for Communication should be followed which should be completely formal system. This will provide a solution for the structural and operational problems with respect to the operational concerns. All the elements of the Communication mix should be properly managed during the implementation of the programs and systems. A certain problem is recognized which is referred as the Time Wasting Potential. This should be eradicated by making use of SOP Program used for the development of the overall communication systems and programs in the organization. (Kuhne, 2004) In addition to the above recommendatio ns, I would like to suggest the communication officer of the Dubai Police Department to switch to the upgraded versions of the digital systems of the communication system once the department gets used to it. This will ensure more upgraded and advanced services to carry out the communication services across the department. It provides unique services like ââ¬â (a) VOIP telephone systems (b) Consultation of the Factory Certified Technicians (c) Loud Speaker Paging System (d) Remote Teleworker Set up (e) Relocation Services (f) Adds, moves and changes Other departments in the Public Administration of Dubai can also make use of such modes of systems of communication within their departments. How Companies Target Specific Customers - 1110 Words
The strategy of a successful organization lies in attracting the right customers by differentiating themselves from competition. Customer value proposition (CVP) is the essence of that strategy (Noreen, Brewer, Garrison, 2014) which helps the company to deliver value aligned with the organizations strategy to its targeted customers. Customers therefore infer that product as high value while purchasing and perceives that this value creates a reason for him or her to choose it over a competitor in the industry. Customer Value proposition states the reasons a customer may want to purchase a particular product or use a particular service, i.e. it emphasizes on the added value a particular brand has got that fulfills customerââ¬â¢s needs better. The ââ¬Å"valueâ⬠is the benefits that the company delivers to its customers through their product and service. Top level do not base their value proposition based on the promise to ââ¬Å"deliver all the benefitsâ⬠to its target customers the reason being that delivering too much benefits can dilute genuine points of difference (Anderson, A.Narus, Rossum, 2006). Therefore successful companies have fewer elements (benefits) in their value proposition those of which that matter the most to their targeted customers. The three broad categories of CVP include is customer intimacy, operational excellence and product leadership. A company can pursue both customer intimacy and operational excellence strategy to be a product leader in the long run.Show MoreRelatedTarget Marketing : Marketing Strategy971 Words à |à 4 PagesTarget marketing includes 3 main activities.
